VERNA: Old Mardol Boys beat Mugrupoi Boys by a solitary goal to move into the quarter-finals of the 2nd Verna inter-ward football tournament organised by Youth of Bamborda, at Verna ground, on Saturday.
Both teams played on attacking mode in both the halves but it was Old Mardol boys who netted the match winner through Cliff’s placement shot in the 35th minute.
Mugrupoi boys tried to equalise but their strikers lacked sharpness.
