Killman to officiate
PANJIM: The Association of Goa Wushu feels proud to inform that the Wushu Association of India has selected Paulo Killman Fernandes to officiate at the 35th National Games from February 5 to 15, in Kerala. Killman has officiated in many Wushu National Championships but will be the first Goan to officiate at the Games.
Chetan technical official in archery
PANJIM: Archery Association of India has selected Chetan P. Kavlekar as the technical official in archery at the 35th National Games till February 10.
Chetan Kavlekar, is also a qualified technical official in basketball, athletics, table-tennis and netball, has earlier represented India as team captain/observer at the Asian Grand Prix Archery Championship in 2013, Commonwealth Games at New Delhi in 2010 as technical official and also as the manager at 34th National Games in archery and 35th National Games in athletics.
Chetan is also the joint secretary of Goa Olympic Association, treasurer of Goa Athletics Association and president of All Goa HSS Physical Education Teachers Association (PETA). Presently, he is employed as a sports director in V.S. Dempo HSS of Commerce, Mira Mar.
Narahar is member of Jury of Appeal
PANJIM: Narahar Thakur, Goa Badminton Association secretary has been nominated by Badminton Association of India (BAI) as a member of Jury of Appeal in the badminton events. Thakur is also the BAI joint secretary. Goa women’s team is one of eight elite teams qualified for the National Games. Badminton events will be held from February 9 to 13.
