RAIA: In the final match of the league stage of Regina Martyrum Parish Cup inter-ward 5-a-side league-cum-knockout football tournament organised by Regina Martyrum Parish, Orel defeated Banda 2, by a 2-1 margin, at Assolna church ground, on Tuesday.
For Orel, Meliston Pereira and Prasad Siddique scored in the 6th and 18th minutes respectively while for Banda 2, Hassler Almeida pulled one back in the 21st minute. Man-of-the-match award was presented to Prasad Siddique.
From Group C group, Tarivaddo 2 qualified for the semi-finals with an unbeaten record. Chief guest Fr Camilo Dias, chaplain of Our Lady of Lourdes Chapel, Ambelim, was present.
