Orlim down Cavelossim

Orlim Sports Club blanked Cavelossim Youth Association, Mobor 2-0 in the GFA Third Division league at St John Baptist ground, Dando, Benaulim on Tuesday. Orlim led 1-0 at the breather.
Orlim exhibited attacking football and went into the lead when Vilroy D’cruz bulged the net after being fed by his colleague inside the box. Spurred by early success, Orlim intensified their attacks and nearly doubled the lead but their forwards frittered away easy chances.
Cavelossim tried their best but failed to get past the rival rearguard. Crossing over, Orlim continued in the same vein and attacked the rival citadel repeatedly and paid the dividends when Denzil Rogtao doubled the lead with a stiff grounder. Stung by the double blow, Cavelossim re-grouped quickly and made valiant attempts to reduce the margin but yielded no results. With this win, Orlim SC qualify for the play off.
