Our Lady of Carmel High School, Curtorim defeated The Kings School, Sao Jose de Areal to emerge champions of the Salcete taluka U-14 girls badminton tournament, organised by Directorate of Sports and Youth Affairs (DSYA), and held at Indoor Stadium, Fatorda, on Wednesday. The winners got the better of their opponents with an easy 2-0 straight sets win in the final. The team comprised Vellene Costa, Samantha Fernandes, Deesha Ainkar and Ashlyn D’Silva.
