MARGAO: Oxford Marine got the better off Goa Police by 31 runs in the finals of 12th Sanguem T-20 cricket tournament organized by Sanguem Cricketers at SAG ground, Curchorem, Monday.
Oxford Marine scored 167 for 8 in 18 overs.
In reply, Goa Police manage to score 137 for the loss of eight wickets in 18 overs.
Oxford Marine were awarded Rs 30,000 and a trophy while Goa
Police had to be content with Rs 15,000.
Individual prizes were awarded: Man-of-the-finals Damodar Redkar, Oxford Marine; Best Batsman Vitthal Naik, Goa Police; Best Bowler Edison Gonsalves; Man-of-the-series Krishna Volvoikar, Goa Police.
Adv Narendra Savoikar, chairman, Law Commission was the chief guest and gave away the prizes in the presence of Subhash Faldesai, MLA and Vilas Gauns Desai, GCA member.
