MARGAO: Oxford Marine Cricket Club and Iqbal XI moved into quarter-finals of the Babu Brothers T20 all-Goa cricket tournament organized by Babu Brothers Sports Association, at SAG sports complex, Fatorda, on Wednesday.
In the first match, Oxford Marine CC defeated Ram Jane XI with a huge margin of 66 runs.
Naushad Shaikh smashed 63 runs and was well supported by Vaibhav Govekar, who scored 41 runs.
In reply, Ram Jane XI were bundled out at 99 runs in 17.1 overs. Only Junaid Shaikh defied bowlers and scored 35 runs. Muddasar Mulla was the most successful bowler scalping three for 11 runs.
Iqbal XI recorded an 21 runs win over Nityanand.
