CURCHOREM:Painguinim Multipurpose defeated Panjim Police by seven wickets in the inaugural match of Patrakar Chasak-2016, an all-Goa T20 cricket tournament at SAG ground, Curchorem.
Batting first, Painguinim Multipurpose scored 104 runs losing three wickets in 15.1 overs. Aman Komarpant 62, Vijay Puonik 23 and Sandesh Velip 06 were the highest scorers. Shantanu Dessai 1/18 and Satish Nai 1/2.
Chasing, Panjim Police were bundled out at 103 for 9 in 18 overs. Gaurav Naik 28, Pearsab Alakatti 26, Damodar Shirodkar 13. Narendra Dessai 2/18, Sandesh Velip 2/14 and Abhijit Patil 1/18. Aman Komarpant was declared man-of-the-match.
In another exciting match, Union Sports Club, Marcel won by 22 runs against Curchorem Youth.
Union Sports Club scored 107 runs all out in 15.1 overs. Curchorem Youth 85/10 in 18 overs. Parsh Gaonkar was the Man-of-the-Match.
