MARGAO: PAK Boys routed Mobor (C) Boys 3-0 to be crowned champions of the Cavelossim Lions Soccer organized by Santa Cruz Club of Cavelossim, at Fr Druston and Wellington ground, Cavelossim, recently. Captain Melbert Rodrigues opened the account for PAK Boys when he latched on to Moveen’s pass to shoot past Sunny Vaz under the Mobor crosspiece.
Crossing over, PAK Boys maintained the tempo and a brace from Dexter Barreto sealed the match in their favour. Attempts from James Barreto and Brandon Luis were easily handled by in-form keeper Lawjyo Gomes.
Individual prizes were awarded to Best Defender Steve Costa of Mobor, Hero of the Tournament Bryson Cardozo, Best Goalkeeper Lawjyo Gomes and First goal of the final Melbert Rodrigues.
Severino Fernandes, SAG and club’s coach was felicitated by the club on securing the C Licence coaching certificate from AIFF.
