At half time the score was 2-0. Panjim scored the first goal through Ramesh while Pascoal Pereira doubled the lead. Post resumption, Candolim scored through Shankar Palyekar.
Candolim gained a penalty but Shanker Palyekar’s spot-kick was saved by Panjim goalkeeper Francis. At the other end, Panjim took advantage and quickly scored their third goal as Pascoal registered his brace.
On Sunday, Bardez Veterans defeated Assonora Veterans 3-1 to enter the quarter-finals.
