PANJIM: Panjim Basketeers got the better of Maratha Central in a close encounter 66-63 keeping their hopes alive for the semi-finals spot in the 4th YMCA Knights Basketball Tournament, organised by Goa YMCA, at Don Dosco basketball court, Panjim, on Wednesday.
The second game of the day saw the women take to court and Kholapur beat Don Bosco Oratory B 18-10.
In the other match which featured two heavy weights Central railways against KJs went down to the wire.
The game showcased India’s best players with the experience of India’s best Narendra, Joginder, Hemant, Ashutosh.
KJs nailed a thrilling win against Central railways 68-66.
