Panjim scored through five different scorers. Kunal Kundaikar, Joyson Gauncar, Chandan Gawas, Krishna Gawas and Filton D’Cunha got on the score sheet for the winning side.
Panjim Footballers, the Sporting Clube Development side,  are now on 23 points from 15 games while Velsao Sports and Cultural Club remain rooted at the bottom of the league table with seven points from 13 games.
Velsao SC have won just two games so far and are in serious trouble in the league.
After a brief exchange of normal play, Panjim Footballers successfully broke the deadlock in the 17th minute when Alston Camotio made the initial spade work and played a pass to Chandan Gawas on the flank   who made a run in the box and played a perfect lay off assist to Joyson, who slammed the ball from close to give his side the lead.
The young Panjim Footballers team created serious threats to their opponents with their pace and commanding play and were soon given an opportunity to consolidate their lead when Velsao SCC player handled the ball in the penalty area. Skipper Kunal Kundaikar stepped over and converted from the spot. Panjim Footballers led 2-0 at the break.
Crossing over, the story line continued with some good play and more goals.
Soon after the restart, Krishna Gawas’s individual brilliance was lauded on the field as the lad sneaked into the rival box getting past couple of Velsao defenders and then dribbled past the keeper Presley Mascarenhas and slotted home to make it 3-0.
Velsao SCC were further punished in the 68th minute when Krishna played a through ball to Chandan Gawas and the latter made no mistake to get the ball at the back of the net to make it 4-0.
In the 84th minute, Panjim hit the final nail in the rival coffin with Filton D’Cunha getting on the score sheet.
Once again it was Chandan who played a quick pass to Filton who was lurking upfront and he scored to make it 5-0.
