DANDO-BENAULIM: Parish Youth Nuvem got the better of St Anthony Sports Club Marna-Siolim 3-1 to move into the semi-finals of the 43rd Cana-Benaulim Soccer, organised by Cana-Benaulim Sporting Association, at Sao Joao Baptist ground, Dando-Benaulim, on Thursday.
Dominating in the midfield, Francis Colaco managed to break the deadlock with a pile-driver to open the account for Nuvem in the eighth minute.
Minutes later, Francis doubled the account for his team to go into the breather with two-goal advantage.
In the second halfPusparaj Mandrekar made it 1-2 for St Anthony. Godfrey Mascarenhas took the game beyond their opponents reach when he converted from the spot kick to make it 3-1.
Parish Youth Nuvem will meet United Club of Nerul in the semi-finals on June 22.
