SERAULIM: Parish Youth, Nuvem got the better of CRC Chininim, 3-2 to move into the quarter-final of the Village Panchyat Seraulim Cup, in memory of late Ligorio Gomes and organised by United Sports Club Seraulim, at Seraulim ground, on Saturday.
In the 6th minute, Scany Souza of Chinichinim passed a well measured ball to Elroy Moniz of but Elroy’s move was cut short by a timely tackle from Gammy Costa of Nuvem just inside the Nuvem box.
In the 23rd minute, Gammy Costa directed a long ball pass to Standly D’Mello who scored for Nuvem.
Two minutes later, Standly’s placement shot made it 2-0 for Nuvem.
In the 36th minute of the match, Gammy Costa netted the third for Nuvem.
As the match progressed, Chinchinim scored two goals which were scored off Elroy Moniz and Scany Souza in the 47th and 54th minute respectively.
