PANJIM: Paroda steered past host Collem by winning all their matches in three categories in the third week of Inter Centre League of Vodafone GFDC Rising Stars Football Festival – Season II held at various centres.
At Collem, In the under-13 boys, Leoroy’s double blow and Fedrick’s goal helped Paroda down hosts Collem 3-0. Leoroy was adjudged man-of-the-match.
In under-10, the visitors defeated Collem 2-0. Sereto and Franzil scored a goal each for their side. In the third and final match in under-13 girls, Leresha’s lone goal ensured victory for Paroda.
It was raining goals at Benaulim, as the home team defeated the visitors Cuncolim, in both the matches played at the centre.
In under-13 boys, Benaulim defeated Cuncolim 2-0. Benaulim’s hero Keegan Fernandes and Menfred Pinto scored a goal each. Keegan was adjudged player of the match.
In under-10 boys, the home team thrashed the visitors 6-1. While Richie Fernandes scored four goals, his counterpart scored twice to take their side to victory.
Shiroda’s journey to Khadepar was fruitful as the visitors won both their matches in under-10 and under-13 boys categories.
Shiroda defeated Khadepar 1-0 in the first match with a strike from Renzil Fernandes.
In under-10 boys, goals from Sanket Gawde, Nishid Gawde and Astel Dias ensured victory for Khadepar 3-0. Sanket’s performance earned him the player of the match award.
In the lone match played at Utorda, the home team defeated Devbhag 6-0. Player of the match Aldrine Fernandes scored five goals and was well supported by a goal from teammate Ashley Rodrigues.
At Pernem, the first match against Moira in under-10 boys category ended in a goalless draw.
In under-13 boys, Moira came strong to defeat the home team 4-0. Kaushik Shetye’s hat-trick earned him the player of the match award.
In under-13 girls, Moira defeated Pernem 2-0. Anusha Naik and Gziel Cardog scored a goal each.
At Poira, the home team won their first match against Valpoi in under-10 boys’ category 1-0. Valpoi came back strong in second match by scoring nine goals as Poira failed to score.
The third match was not different as the under-13 girls of Valpoi defeated the home team 7-0. Four goals from Lisfa Naikwadi earned her the player of the match award.
At Arambol, home team won both their matches against Aldona.
In the first match in under-10 boys category, the visitors were defeated 6-0 with four goals from Reneil D’Mello and a goal each from Sanford Fernandes and Jhoncy Rodrigues.
In under-13 boys category, Nathan Rodrigues lone goal helped the hosts defeat Aldona 1-0.
In under-13 boys lone match at Parra, home team defeated visitors Arpora 1-0. Megan D’Souza scored.
