PANAJI: Parra thrashed Vagator 6-1 in a U-13 boys Inter Centre GFDC Rising Star Football Festival (Zone II) at Parra ground, on Monday.
Parra led 3-0 at the break. In the 3rd minute Sayyad Sohail opened the scoring for Parra.
Ten minutes later Kunal made it 2-0 and in the 15th minute Diwakar Chowdary sent home the ball for the third.
Crossing over Vagator managed to pull one goal back through Prabhat in the 36th minute.
Whereas Sayyad Sohail, Diwakar Chorwadry and Kunal secured their brace in the 50th, 56th and 59th minutes respectively.
Diwakar was adjudged as player of the match.
In another match, Parra drew with Vagator 1-1 in the U-10 boys tie.
Both the goals were scored in the first half.
In the 9th minute Adi Signapurkar scored for the Parra side and four minutes later Riyaz equalised.
In Zone 4, Valpoi beat Zarme 3-0 in both, U-10 and U-13 boys matches at Valpoi centre. In the U-10 match, Tufail Khan secured a brace and was adjudged player of the match. Piyush Gaonkar netted one for the Valpoi side.
In the U-13 match the goal scorers were Amit Betkikar, Aryan Salunke and Nakul Gawas. From Valpoi centre Nakul was declared player of the match.
