Tejan Fallary won the junior boys (under-19) singles title while Navneet Nasnodkar and Sanath Kamat were crowned the men’s doubles champions.
Vaman Fallary and Rohan Pai Panandikar emerged winners in the Veterans 45+ doubles category event.
MLA of Panjim constituency Sidharth Kunkolienkar was the chief guest and gave away the prizes in the presence of Narahar Thakur, secretary of Goa Badminton Association (GBA) and office bearers Sarfraz Sheikh, Luciano Soares and Oscar Silveira.
The tournament was conducted by NIS coaches Roy Athaide and Vinayak Kamat who were assisted by Pradosh Silimkhan.
Earlier, Richard De Souza, GBA President welcomed. Sandeep Heble, GBA vice-president proposed the vote of thanks.
Results: Under-19 boys singles: Tejan Fallary beat Sanath Kamat 21-12, 21-9. Men’s singles: Parteek Mahajan beat Floyd Araujo 21-15, 21-18.
Women’s singles: Pranjal Chimulkar beat Anjana Kumari 21-17, 21-15.
Men’s doubles: Navneet Nasnodkar and Sanath Kamat beat Floyd Araujo and Darwin Barretto 22-24, 21-16, 21-15.
Veterans 45+ doubles: Vaman Fallary and Rohan Pai Panandikar beat Ashok Menon and Agnel D Cunha 23-21, 15-21, 21-16.
