MAPUSA/RAIA: Saligao United Sports Club drubbed Holiday Arpora SC by 10-0 margin in the GFA’s Third Division League Bardez Zone held at Duler Stadium, here, on Sunday.
Saligao United struck five goals in each session of play. Paulo Joao netted a hat-trick, with Pavan Devsekar (2), Atchut Bagkar (2), Brendon Menezes and Francisco Fernandes and Swapnil Naik adding their names to the scorers list.
At Kelbai ground, Mayem, FC Sanquelim managed to edge past BAFF by 2-1 margin. The teams were locked in a 1-1 draw at the breather with Sanquelim taking the lead from a self goal by Atul Saraf, with Dnyaneshwar levelling terms for BAFF.
On crossing over in the 90th minute, Akash Parab netted the winning goal for Sanquelim colts, 2-1.
At Vagator PYSC ground, Holy Cross Arambol SC got the better of Xetrapal SC by 2-0 margin. Both the goals came in the late session of the second session through Stepelton Fernandes and Tushar Haldankar (self goal).
At Moira ground, United Ucassaim Sports and Cultural Club registered a 3-0 win over Cunchelim SC.
All the goals came in the second session of play through Danish Shaikh (2) and Nayan Virnodkar.
At Chandor ground, United Boys Dando, Colva, scored a solitary goal win over St Anthony SC, Colva.
Clive Goes netted the match winner for in the 41st minute.
