MAPUSA: Pax of Nagoa managed to hold new entrants Clube de Salgaocar in a goalless draw in the 2nd edition Bhausaheb Bandodkar Memorial trophy oganised by the Goa Football Association, at Duler Stadium, here, on Friday.
Both the teams did make some inroads inside the 18-yard box in the first half but the strikers failed to test both the keepers.

In the 32nd minute, Pax of Nagoa had the first crack at the rival goal but Nickson Castanha’s direct free-kick rebounded off the crossbar.
Another two chances went abegging for Pax of Nagoa with Beneston Barretto blasting wide from inside the 18-yard box.
On crossing over, the match never rose to great heights, with play mostly restricted to midfield.
In the 72nd minute, Pax of Nagoa saw Desmon Gama being sent off by referee Sachin Padloskar for second caution.
Clube de Salgaocar’s best chance to take the lead came in the 74th minute when Pratesh Shirodkar found Isac inside the penalty box who was thwarted by Pax of Nagoa custodian Mahamad Ali in one to one situation.
On August 19, Pax of Nagoa will now take on Sporting Clube de Goa in their last league match, while Clube de Salgaocar will play against Sporting Clube de Goa on August 21.
