RAIA: Pax of Nagoa FC have secured qualification to the National Group Stage of the Reliance Foundation Development League in their maiden appearance in the tournament.
With a newly formed U-21 team, Pax of Nagoa fought off competition from much more established clubs to finish third on the table, behind FC Goa and Dempo SC.
One of the highlights of their campaign was their dual wins against the formidable Sporting Club de Goa. The first win, clinched with a dramatic 92nd-minute free-kick by Sherwin Abranches during the league stage, was a testament to the team’s never-say-die attitude.
The play-off stage encounter was no less thrilling, with Pax of Nagoa storming to win, courtesy of three quick goals in the first half, effectively sealing their place for the national group stage.

Sidney Goankar, with seven goals, finished as the top scorer for Pax of Nagoa. His exceptional talent, along with the contributions from Stalen Lucas and Sherwin Abranches, who scored four goals each, played a pivotal role in the team’s successful qualification.
