PANJIM: PCCE, Verna thumped PES College, Pharmacy, Formagudu 8-0 in the Goa University inter-collegiate football championship for men, at Goa Universtity football ground, Taleigao plateau on Monday.
Reagan Fernandes was brilliant for PCCE as he scored the first hat-trick of the tournament. Steven Fernandes score scored a brace while Klusner Pereira, Russel Vaz and Valley Vaz were the other goal scorers for the Verna College.
In the second match, Don Bocso, Panaji defeated DM’s College, Assagao 1-0. Francis Fernandes scored the only goal of the match for the winners in the 69th minute.
In the third match, SS Dempo College, Altinho defeated Caculo College, Mapusa 3-1. Akeraj Martin, Gautam Dias and Devendra Murgaonkar netted for the Panjim College while Shankar Ashvekar scored for the Mapusa College.
