MAPUSA: Peddem Bomm sports club managed to edge past Sangolda Lightning by 2-1 margin in the GFA’s Third Division League, Bardez Zone played at Duler stadium here on Friday.
Peddem Bom scored a goal in each session of play through Utrarsh Naik and Daniel Pereira, while Sushas Kambli managed to pull a goal for Sangolda Lightning in the 83rd minute of play.

At St. Anthony’s Church grounds Siolim: FC Siolim registered a 2-1 win over Holy Cross Arambol. Siolim colts struck both their goals in the first session of play through Hussain Walikar and Sydney Fernandes.
Renial D’Mello scored their consolation goal in the 94th minute of play for Arambol unit.
At Chandor ground, Macasana Welfare Club won a five-goal thriller against Uguem Rising Club with a 3-2 win. Macasana put Uguem Rising Club ahead in the 15th minute through an A Buvaji own goal. However, they regrouped quickly and levelled terms in the 21st minute through Aaron Mascarenhas.
Macasana took the lead in the 33rd minute through Len Fernandes. Len completed his brace in the 35th minute to make it 3-1. Clifton Castanha pulled a goal back for Uguem Rising just before the breather. In the second half, neither side was able to score.
At Rosary ground, SC Davorlim registered a 7-5 win over Navelim Sporting Club.
Davorlim took the lead in the 12th minute through Angwyn Gomes. However, the lead lasted for just two minutes as Navelim restored parity in the 14th minute through Terance Miranda.
SC Davorlim then struck twice through Angwyn Gomes and Prince Figueredo. However, Tanvir Bhagalkot pulled a goal back to make it 2-3 for Navelim. Davorlim regained their two-goal cushion scoring in the 42nd minute through Delroy Colaco as they led 4-2 at the break.
In the second half, Navelim came back stronger and scored two goals in quick succession through Teance Miranda and Meliston Dias to make it 4-4. However, in the final quarter of the game, Davorlim scored against the run of play in the 73rd minute through Jordan Miranda. In the next minutes, Angwyn Gomes completed his hat-trick to regain the two goals advantage.
Navelim’s Tanvir managed to grab his brace in the 80th minute but just before they could think of a comeback, Davorlim’s star player Angwyn Miranda scored his quadruple to take the final tally to 7-5.
