MAPUSA: Penha de Franca continued their fine run in the GFA’s First Division League with a comfortable 3-0 win over United Club of Telaulim at Duler Stadium, here, on Wednesday.
After a barren first half, the winners fired in three goals at regular intervals to return home with full three points.
Despite several brilliantly created moves, Penha de Franca managed to break the deadlock only in the 69th minute of play when Govind Mahale ran down the left flank and set the ball to Denzil Sequeira, who weaved his way past the defence to fire in a low grounder past the rival keeper. Towards the fag end of the match, Penha de Franca came with two quick goals in the 94th and 95th minutes through Joston Pereira to seal the fate of the match, 3-0.
