MARGAO: Sesa Football Academy huffed and puffed before scoring a narrow 2-1 win over Corps of Signals in the GFA’s First Division League match at Sanquelim ground, on Wednesday.
All the goals were scored in the second session.
Corps of Signals broke the deadlock two minutes on crossing over when Soloman Kholasav on getting hold of a loose ball covered a few meters before unleashing a powerful low grounder which had no answer from the rival keeper.
Upset by the goal, Sesa FA stepped up the tempo and managed to find the equaliser in the 84th minute of play through the boots of Reagan Ferrao.
With minutes to go for the final whistle, Sesa FA turned the match in their favour when Joyce Dias’ blistering 20-yard strike crashed into the Corps of Signals nylons, 2-1.
