DAMON-RAIA: Our Lady of Perpetual Convent High School, Navelim blanked Mount Mary’s High School, Chinichinim 2-0 to move into the quarter-final of the Fr Peter SVD Memorial football tournament, at SVD Seminary ground Damon Raia on Friday.
Perpetual Convent striker Ashley Fernandes netted the first goal with a placement shot of an Ian Colaco assist. Hayston Afonso netted the second for Perpetual from a direct free-kick in the 48th minute.
In another match, Our Lady of Perpetual Succour HS Cortalim defeated Marina English High School, Verna 2-0. Jayson Gama and Vardhan Naik scored for the winners.
