RAIA: Perpetual Succour Convent High School, Navelim, defeated Air Force School, Delhi, 5-0, in the Subroto Cup Sub-Junior Boys Inter-School Football Tournament Group G match played in New Delhi, on Tuesday. The Goa team started on an attacking note as a victory was important to keep them in the competition. Anosh Vaz broke the deadlock in the 12th minute with a powerful shot.
At half time, the score was 1-0. In the second half, Goa scored their second goal through Farhan Lathewale’s assist from Emmanuel Gama in the 35th minute. From there on, it was goal scoring spree for Goa. Royden Carvalho scored a hat-trick in the 41st, 46th and 48th minute.
Goa play Chandigarh on Wednesday at 8 am. It’s a must-win match for Goa to qualify for the quarter-finals. The match will be telecast live on YouTube channel Sportcast India.
