FATORDA: Perpetual Succour Convent HS, Navelim got the better of Rosary High School, Navelim 1-0 to move into the next round of the U-14 Subroto Mukherjee boys football tournament organised by DSYA, at Artificial turf, Fatorda, on Wednesday.
Velroy Rebello netted the match-winner for Perpetual Succour Convent in the fifth minute.
In another match, Our Lady of Carmel HS, Curtorim steamrolled Manovikas English Medium School 11-0 and moved into the next round, Macnelle Dias netted four goals, Asher Fernandes netted a hat-trick, Favio Martins netted a brace while Saish Korgaonkar and Alynier Fernandes netted a goal each for the winners.
Meanwhile, St Joseph Educational Institute, Chandor thumped St Rock’s HS, Tollecanto 5-0.
Shawn Clemente netted a brace while Ashwell Peixoto,Samuel Peixoto and Gale Costa netted a goal each.
