PANJIM: Our Lady of Perpetual Succour High School, Cortalim registered a solitary goal victory over Our Lady of Desterro High School, Vasco to move into the final of Mormugao Zone Subroto Mukerjee U-17 girls inter-school football tournament, at Chicalim ground, on Saturday.
Roussel Rodrigues scored the only goal of the match.
In another U-14 boy’s match, Our Lady of Perpetual Succour High School, Cortalim secured a 5-2
victory via the tie-breaker over Regina Mundi High School, Chicalim. The teams were locked 1-1 at the end of regulation time.
Richie gave Regina Mundi the lead but Melwyn equalized for the Cortalim School.
St Thomas High School, Cansaulim thumped Government High School, Mangor Hill, Vasco 4-2 in the U-17 event. Russel, Stanley, Sewell (2) scored for the Cansaulim School while Aman Yadav secured a brace for Govt HS.
