MAPUSA: Pilerne SC managed to come back from a goal down to edge past Bidesh XI, 2-1, in the GFA’s Second Division league held at Duler stadium, here, on Friday.
Nakul Gawas put Bidesh XI ahead in the 15th minute of play.
However Darshan Pujari levelled terms for Pilerne in the 26th minute, 1-1.
On crossing over in the 68th minute Pilerne scored the match winning goal through Chandan Govekar.
At Parra ground, PVC Parra trounced YSC Colvale by 7-0 margin on Friday.
Anantha Krishna opened the flood gates for Parra.
As the match progressed Pratap Bind and Noel D’Silva scored two goals each while Pavan and Sevon added one each.
At Don Bosco Bosco ground, Fatorda, Fr Agnelo Youth Club, Paroda and St Anthony Club, Assolda played 1-1 draw.
Both the teams played an attacking soccer and score both the goals in the first session of the play. St Anthony, Assolda scored the first goal in 37th minutes of the game through Milton Colaco. Five minutes later, Clifton Fernandes equalised for Fr Agnelo Youth Club, Paroda.
In another match at Rosary ground, Navelim, Guirdolim Club defeated SWC Zaino 6-2.
Guirdolim netted a brace each through Lawren Fernandes and Sheldon Peixito
while Cyrus Canvi Noronha and Navil Fernandes netted a goal each and for Zaino Marwin Fernandes and Sam Diego Rebello netted a goal each.
