MAPUSA: Pilerne Sports Club had an easy outing as they trounced Goan Warriors Sports Club 5-2 in the late Shruti Pednekar Memorial Soccer Trophy, organised by Sodiem Siolim SC, at Khorier ground, Sodiem, on Tuesday.
It was Pilerne that surged ahead in the 20th minute with Sanket scoring from close, 1-0. It did not take long for Goan Warriors to level terms as they scored through Santil, 1-1.
Pilerne increased their lead whenAnson collected a through pass from Sanket and scored 2-1.
As the match progressed, Sanket Jotkar netted his brace, with Russel Fernandes and Anson pumping in two more goals, 5-1. In the closing stages of the match Rachit of Goan Warriors scored their team’s second goal to make it 5-2.
