MAPUSA: Pilerne SC registered a comfortable 2-0 win over Augustus SC, Pompurbha, in the Anjuna Gymkhana Cup 2024 match played at Anjuna Gymkhana ground, Anjuna, on Saturday. Pilerne SC opened their account in the very 2nd minute of play when Nehal Naik managed to snatch the ball from the opponent defender and neatly place it into the net.
On crossing ends, both teams played at a fast pace, but Pilerne SC created better opportunities.
Pilerne SC scored their second goal in the 37th minute when Bhavesh set up the ball to Aman Goverker, who made no mistake to place the ball home to make it 2-0. Nehal Naik of Pilerne SC was adjudged player-of-the-match.
