Pilerne SC score comfortable win

MAPUSA: Pilerne Sports Club scored a comfortable 4-1 win over St. Anthony’s, Marna to advance into the quarters of the Anjuna Gymkhana Cup organised by Anjuna Gymkhana, at Anjuna Gymkhana ground, on Saturday. 
At half-time, Pilerne led by 2-1. 
It was Marna who broke the deadlock in the early third minute through Vipul Pednekar. 
As the match progressed, Pilerne were reduced by a man after Sidhant Naik was shown a red card for arguing with the referee. 
Pilerne did not allow the goal and player deficit to hamper their spirits as they attacked with renewed vigour and got in the equaliser in the 13th minute through through Sanket whose powerful shot had no answer from the keeper. 
Pilerne managed to take the lead in the 27th minute through the boots of Dwayne. 
Changing ends, Sanket and Dwayne netted in a goal each to complete their braces and finish off the match at 4-1.
