MAPUSA: Pilerne Sports Club came from a goal down to get the better of Guirim Youth and Cultural Sports Club 3-1 and move into the quarter-finals of 4th Milagres Cup football tournament at Bodgeshwar ground, Mapusa, Friday. Guirim led 1-0 at the breather.
Guirim dominated the first session as they got off to a dream start and took the lead in the eighth minute through Clifford.
Pilerne found their rhythm in the second session and levelled the scores through Prajot.
Spurred by the equalizer, Pilerne played good short passes and took the lead in the through Anson D’ Souza’s powerful strike that beat the rival goalkeeper hands down.
Royston Pereira made it 3-1 in the final quarter.
