PANJIM: Pomburpa stormed into the semi-finals after edging past Calvim 2-1 in the Nachinola Challangers trophy, organised by Bom Jesus Boys and Scan Club, at Nachinola church ground, on Tuesday.
Pundolik Naik of Pomburpa opened the account in the 10th from outside the 18-yard box. Soon after in the 17th minute, Pundolik doubled the lead with a nice placement to the far corner of the net.
In the second half, Charles Fernandes pulled a goal back for Calvim from the spot-kick after he was brought down in the 18-yard box.
