PANJIM: Powerful Knights won the team chess championship organised by Ajinkya Chess Academy. Team One Man Army won the second prize while Black Shadow bagged the third.
Powerful Knights team members include Prem Gaude, Saish Natekar, Divesh Priolkar and Arush Naik. The team scored 11 game points. Cash prize and Rolling Trophy sponsored by Krishna Anta Gaude in memory of Mother Late Satyawati Anta Gaude was awarded to the team
One Man Army team included Rupam Gaude, kaushal Naik, Durwank chavan and Aryan Jojo. They scored 9 game points. The 3rd place winner team Black Shadow scored 8 game points and the members included Sanish Gaude, Avnish Borkar, Shradha Gaude and Aarav Jalmi.
In the rapid chess tournament, Samarth Borkar won by scoring 5.5 points out of 6.
Pratik Gaude stood 2nd while Chetan Kurtikar bagged the 3rd prize. Sairaj Gaude, Moumita Naskar, Shriya Gaunekar, Aryan Jojo and Jatin Gaude won the 4th to 8th place, respectively.
The top of the board prizes include: 1. Avnish Borkar; 2. Kaushal Naik; 3. Arush Naik and 4. Prem Gaude.
