Prabhakar emerges bodybuilding champ

Prabhakar Shetty of Super Universal emerged as the champion of champions in the all Goa state level body building championship organised by Plus Point Bali-Cuncolim in collaboration with Goa State Body Building Association
Joaquim Alemao, Urban Development Minister was the chief guest and gave away the prizes to the winners in the presence of Quepem MLA Chandrakant Kavlekar, PI Cuncolim police station Sidharth Shirodkar, Sandesh Narvekar, president of Goa State Body Building Association and Durgesh Naik, Girish Kakode.
More than 90 body builders took part in the championship.
Ashok Dessai was the best poser, while Tanvesh Naik was the upcoming body builder. The following were the category-wise winners:
In the below 55 kg group: 1st place was taken by Ashok Sawant of   Plus Point, Balli; 2nd place: Raju Teli of Super Universal Health Club, 3rd Hemant Naik, United Sports, 4th: Santosh Velip, Plus Point, Balli.
In the below 60kg group, 1st place was taken by Hamid Khan, Sanika Fitness Centre; 2nd place: Gaurish Surlakar, SAG, Shiroda; 3rd: Sandesh Shetkar, Shaper Health Club; 4th place: Vishal Naik, Power Gym, Marcel; 5th Ramchamdra Naik, Plus Point, Balli.
Below 65 kg group: 1st place: Durgesh Rawaskar, Plus Point, Balli, 2nd place: Mahesh Kavlekar, Power Up, Mapusa; Rayesh Chodankar, Fitever, 4th place Premchand Yadav, fitever, 5th place: Ritesh Phaldessai, Plus Point, Balli.
Below 70kg group: 1st: Gauresh Bhatt, Power Gym, Marcel; 2nd: Anand Sinari, Power Gym, Marcel; 3rd Sunil Pavaskar, Plus Point, Balli; 4th Viraj Dessai, Plus Point, Balli; 5th Milind Bhagat, Power Gym, Vasco.
Below 75 kg group: 1st: Prabhakar Shetty, Super Universal; 2nd Joaquim Fernandes, Fit Forever; 3rd Paresh Naik, Plus Point, Balli; 4th: Vijayandra Naik, SAG, Shiroda; 5th Shayith Pillai, Fit Forever.
Below 75 kg: 1st place: Mahaendra Dessai, Plus Point, 1balli; 2nd Nagraj Vadi, United Sports, Mardol, 3rd: Vicky Fernandes, Fit Forever, 4th place: Paresh Gawar, Power Gym, Marcel, 5th: Gautam Gosari, Plus Point, Balli.
