PANJIM: Pranjal Chimulkar will meet Anar Singbal while Manjushri Raut will be up against Yasmin Sayed in the U-19 and U-15 Girls singles final respectively, at the All-Goa Major Ranking Badminton Tournament organized by Mormugao Badminton Club, at MPT hall, Deepvihar Secondary School, Headland Sada, Vasco, on Tuesday.
The U-19 boy’s final will be contested between Tejan Fallary and Sanath Kamat while Mehul Jirage will meet Curt Coutinho in the boy’s U-15 final.
In the U-19 girl’s singles semi-final, Pranjal Chimulkar got the better of Anjana Kumari 26-24, 21-17 while Anar Singbal thumped Emilia Silveira 21-17, 26-24.
Tejan Fallary grounded Swayam Sardesai 21-12, 21-11 while Sanath Kamat defeated Yash Kunkoliekar 21-8, 21-17 in the under-19 boys singles.
In the U-15 girl’s semi-final, Manjushri Raut grounded Arshia Gautam 21-8, 21-7 while Yasmin Sayed defeated Lydia Barretto 21-11, 21-16.
Mehul Jirage thumped Sushil Nayak 22-20, 21-6 while Curt Coutinho defeated Soham Khandeparkar 21-16, 21-19 in the U-15 boy’s semi-final.
In the U-13 girl’s semi-final, Lydia Barretto defeated Anosia Chirali 21-14, 21-14 and Arshia Gautam defeated Riya Gaonkar 21-18, 21-10 to enter the last four.
In the U-13 boy’s semi-final, Soham Khandeparkar defeated Arjun Fallary 21-17, 21-15 and Tejas Tendulkar defeated Ayaan Shaikh 21-19, 16-21, 24-22.
In the men’s singles semi-finals, Suny Sawant grounded Tejan Fallary 21-15, 21-19 while Floyd Araujo beat Navneet Nasnodkar 21-13, 21-14.
Navneet Nasnodkar and Sanath Kamat got the better of Kapil Kanji and Kunal Savordekar 21-15, 21-17 while Pankaj Naik and Sunny Sawant defeated Tejan Fallary and Dhruv Angle 21-19, 22-20 in the men’s doubles.
In the veterans 45+ singles, Pradosh Silimkhan defeated Valosian D 21-17, 16-21, 21-14 and
Manoj Humraskar beat Ashok Gautam 21-14, 10-21, 21-15.
In the Veterans 45+ doubles, Vaman Fallary and Mahesh Angle beat Ayub CK and Leonel F 25-23, 21-18 while Oscar Silveira and Lionel Fernandes beat Pradip Prabhu and VG Prabhu 21-18, 21-16.
