PANJIM: Pudhari will clash with Electronic Media in the final of late Vijay Gad Trophy inter-media cricket tournament organized by Sports Journalists Association of Goa at Campal ground, here, on Saturday.
In the semi-finals, Pudhari thrashed Prudent Media by nine wickets while Electronic Media overcame In Goa by six wickets.
Brief scores – First semi-final: Prudent 72/8 (Avinash Joshi 15, Nishant Shirvoikar 11, Vivek Prabhu 10. Vishal Melekar 10/2) lost to Pudhari 73/1 (Vishal Melekar 27, Vilas Mahadik not out 20). Man-of-the-match: Vishal Melekar (Pudhari).
Second semi-final: In Goa 61/9 (Shivona 10. Sarvesh Veluskar 2 for 6, Devraj Gawas 2 for 18, Maruti Talwar 2 for 7) lost to Electronic media 62/4 (Sarvesh Veluskar not out 32, Felix Dias 13). Man-of-the-match: Sarvesh Veluskar.
Earlier, Electronic Media defeated Times of India by eight wickets.
