MAPUSA: Pudhuvai Unicorn stunned Garhwal United FC by 1-0 margin in the Indian Women’s League 2 Division organised by the Goa Football Association at Duler Stadium, here, on Saturday.
Garhwal United FC who had won their earlier two matches saw their opponents Pudhuvai Unicorn play an excellent football to give their strikers very little space to have an attempt at the goal.
When it looked the match was heading for a draw, Pudhuvai Unicorn’s Yuvarani R scored from inside the 18-yard box to give full three points.
After Saturday’s win, Pudhuvai Unicorn have four points, while Garhwal United stays with six points after the third round.
