MAPUSA: PVC Parra claimed the third spot in the GFA’s Third Division League Bardez zone after a huge 6-2 win over Youth Sports Club Colvale, played at Duler Stadium, here on Monday.
Parra got into the scoring act in the 8th minute of play when Atish Mirajkar darted into the rival territory and fired in a low grounder, 1-0.
Atish once again got into the scoring act four minutes later when he positioned himself perfectly to give finishing touches to Vijendra Shetye’s pass, 2-0.
Before halftime, Parra went on to hammer three more goals, with Jovian Conceicao getting two while Osmiro Trindade netted in the fifth.
The Colvale outfit managed to get in a goal in the 36th minute through a fine solo effort by Anford Fernandes, 5-1.
On resumption Mayuresh Dhabale made it 6-1 in favour of Parra while Omkar Sawant got in a goal for the Youth Sports Club Colvale outfit in the injury minutes of the match, 6-2.
