BENAULIM: Parish Youth Nuvem got the better of UB Dando-Colva 3-2 to enter the quarter-finals of the 28th Super Soccer, organised by United Boys of Dando-Colva and held at the Dando ground, Benaulim on Thursday.
Jerose Oliveira of Parish Youth Nuvem had the first chance of the match but the latter’s move was tackled by Maxon Fernandes of Colva .
The next minute saw Ronnie Fernandes of Colva on receiving the ball from Sneeden, pull the trigger to open the account, 1-0.
As the match progressed Snedden Rodrigues doubled the lead for Colva in the eighth minute.
This could have been the best chance for Nuvem as Ryan Alvares was served on the platter by Jerose by but the latter’s shot was easily saved by the rival keeper in the tenth minute.
Roger Colaco scored two goals for Parish Youth Nuvem in the 19th and 52nd minute.
Finally Rony Fernandes scored the match-winner for Parish Youth Nuvem in the 70th minute. Colva team tried their level best to net the equaliser but the rival defence stood tall to keep maintain their slender one goal lead till the last whistle.
