MARGAO: Parish Youth Nuvem demolished Goa Velha Sports Club 6-0 to romp into the quarter-final of St Anthony’s UK Cup Super Soccer tournament organized by St Anthony’s Sports Club, Colva at DSYA ground, Colva, Saturday. Parish Youth led 2-0 at half time.
Parish Youth dominated the entire match, outplaying their opponents. They opened the floodgates in the 14th minute when Presley Colaco bulged the nylons with a snap shot.
Spurred by the early success, Parish Youth dismantled the rival defence with well orchestrated raids. Neves Noronha doubled the lead when he slotted past the rival goalkeeper with an adroit placement.
Crossing over, Parish Youth continued to dictate terms and kept their opponent on the backfoot.
Neves completed his brace in the 38th minute.
Two minutes later, Cristo Colaco added his name to the scoresheet.
Then, Alrich Pereira registered a brace in the 56th and 58th minutes.
