BENAULIM: Parish Youth Nuvem defeated Navelim Villagers Union 4-3 via the tie-breaker to enter the final of the 28th Super Soccer, organised by United Boys of Dando-Colva, played at Dando ground, Benaulim on Thursday.
In the second minute, Covan Lawrence of Navelim Villagers Union connected a well measured ball to Clinton Niasso but the latter’s move was tackled by Hayson Velho of Parish Youth Nuvem.
Than Covan Lawrence the midfielder of Navelim tried a solo effort with his left footer but his shot was saved by Jose Colaco keeper of Nuvem.
As the match progressed, Jerose Olivera sent in a through ball to Gammy Costa and the latter took the shot from top of the Navelim box but to his dismay Dalwin Costa keeper of Navelim saved it divengly.
There was no score at the end of regulation time. Parish Youth Nuvem netted through Inacio Colaco, Gammy Costa, Shubert Colaco and Shubert Pinto while for Navelim Villagers Union Joseph Gomes, Anil Shivolkar and Avlon Gomes scored.
Parish Youth Nuvem will meet Don Bosco Oratory, Fatorda in the final on June 18.
