Rachol Seminarians emerge victorious

PARRA: Rachol Seminarians blanked Parra Parish Youth 3-0 in the Vocation day festival football match played at Parra church ground, on Sunday.

Rachol Seminarians led 2-0 at half time.
But the teams dished out entertaining brand of football however Rachol Seminarians were quick to score two goals through the boots of Ryan and Merwyn.  
Trailing by two goals, Parra went all out in search of goals but the Rachol Seminarians defence stood its ground while the keeper affected a couple of smart saves.
Crossing over, Parra tried to bounce back into the game with Waldren and Savio trying their best to find the net but time and again their attempts were foiled by the defence.  
Rachol Seminarians put the final nail in the coffin through hardworking Jude.
Fr Aleixo Menezes, Rector of Rachol Seminary, was the chief guest and gave away the trophies to winners in presence of Fr Denis Fernandes (Episcopal Vicar, North Zone),  Fr Anisio Mota (Rector – Don Bosco), Fr Patrick Furtado (Rector – Palloti Seminary), Fr Alex D’Souza (Parish Priest of Parra), Delilah Lobo, Sarpanch of Parra and other dignitaries.
Later, the teenagers and youth of Parra performed dances and songs while the Seminarians displayed their talents to win the hearts of Parishioners of Parra and others.
