Rachol Seminary excel

PANJIM: The Rachol Seminary emerged victorious and won the Fr. Agnel Fellowship Cup for the fifth consecutive year, beating Pilar Seminary in the football and volleyball matches. 
The football match was a thrilling encounter with Rachol Seminary scoring first in the opening few minutes through Calburn Fernandes while Wilfred Mascarenhas doubled the lead in the first half itself. The Pilar Seminary was awarded a penalty in the second half which was converted by Isaac. The game turned at a fast paced with Pilar trying to find an equalizer but unfortunately conceded another goal scored by Dezil Fernandes. At full time the score was 3-1.
Fr. PeterD’Meloin his address appreciated the wonderful sportsmanship displayed between the two Seminaries. The Best Defender and Best Goalkeeper were awarded to Kevin and Thomas respectively of Pilar Seminary. The Promising player of the match was Nion Colaco. Calburn Fernandes was adjudged as The Best Mid-fielder. Jerry Pereira was the Hero of the Match.
The Rachol Seminary excelled in the volleyball game by defeating the Pilar Seminary in straight sets. Dyrel Dias of Rachol Seminar was awarded the Hero of the match while Stalin and Manoj of Pilar Seminary were adjudged as the best spiker and best lifter respectively.
