RACHOL: Rachol Seminary defeated Rosary Parish Youth, Navelim by 3-1 sets, in a volleyball friendly match at Rachol Seminary volleyball court, recently.
Both the teams gave their cent percent in the first set but the youngsters of Navelim were too hot to handle as they pocketed the first set. With renewed vigour, the seminary team bounced back with some powerful spikes and tactful skills. The second set went neck to neck however the seminary team wrested the second set from the away team.
Pumped with their win in the second set, the seminary team were ruthless in their attack as they won the remaining set with a comfortable margin and the scoreboard reading 23-25, 25-21, 25-20, 25-19.
The dignitaries present for the match were Rector of the Rachol Seminary Fr Aleixo Menezes, Parish Priest of Our Lady of Rosary Church, Navelim Fr George Aguiar, Fr Americo Rodrigues, Fr Myron Barretto and Fr Constancio Carvalho.
