PANJIM: The dynamic duo of Rafiq Khotu and Merwyn Fernandes won in a single set against David Mendonca and Pradeep P. with a score of 6-1 in the Men’s Veteran 120+ (combined age) category on day two at the Gadre Gaspar Dias Open, on Saturday.
Ashraf and Adeep showcased a master class performance and moved closer to the final.
In the other game of the men’s veteran 90+ (combined age) the perfect pairing of Santanu and Mahesh carved out a win against Anand and Ravi with a score of 6-1.
Both players showcased exceptional skills.
In the men’s veteran 60+ category, Vinayak Gujurati got the better of Rafiq Khotu with a score of 4-1, 4-2 in mini sets.
Deepak Shettye and Floyd combined well and won against Rajesh and Machindra with a score of to get the victory and move into the next round of the men’s veteran 90+ (combined age) category.
