PANJIM: Raia Football Club and Anjuna Gymkhana played out a 1-1 draw in the Goa Football Association U-14 Second Division League Play Offs (final round) at Poriat ground, on Sunday.
After sharing an equal footing for almost half an hour, Raia FC broke the deadlock in the 31st minute through Aniston D’Silva. The goal separated the two sides as Anjuna Gymkhana trailed by a goal at the break.
In the second half, the battled continued but after much persistence Anjuna managed to restore parity in the 68th minute though Nazir Ali as the full time score read 1-1.
In another match at Ella ground, Goan Warriors FC registered a solitary goal win over CAC Cansaulim. There were no goals in the first session. Zaid Khan scored the lone goal of the game in the 48th minute from the penalty spot.
