RAIA: Raia Sports Club blanked St Anthony Sports Club, Colva, 3-0 to move into the quarter-finals of the 6th Martin Cup 2023 organised by Betalbatim Sports Club, at Betalbatim panchayat ground, on Tuesday.
Raia SC opened the account in the 18th minute of the game through Dilon Gomes of a well-measured through pass by Elton Colaco, which gave no chance to St Anthony Sports Club goalkeeper.
The half time score was 1-0 in favour of Raia SC.
Changing over, Raia SC took the control of the game as coach Cosme Oliver change the game plan and St Anthony Sports Club boys couldn’t come back as Raia SC scored two more goals in 35th and 44th minute with the efforts of Elton Colaco and Garrison Fernandes respectively, to seal the match in favour of Raia SC.
Garrison Fernandes of Raia SC was declared the man-of-the-match and the award was presented by Gustavo Alfonso, one of the football promoter of Betalbatim and assistant treasurer of Betalbatim SC.
