MAPUSA: Raia Sporting Club thumped PVC Association by 4-1 margin to moveinto the next round of the 22nd Vagator Soccer 2022 organized by Vagator Parish Youth Sports Club, at Vagator Parish Youth Sports Club Ground, Ozran, on Tuesday.
Raia took the lead in 36th minute through Joyson Gauncar who intercepted a loose ball let by the Parra defenders and scored with a sliding touch.
He netted his second for the evening from a rebound after Eldon Colaco hit the woodwork guiding into the goal.
In the 65th minute Pruthvesh Pednekar managed to pull one back for PVC Association by deflecting a header. Lloyd Cardozo scored a brace for Raia Sporting Club in the final minutes of the match.
PVC Association’ goalie Ritesh Narvekar was spectacular throughout the match as he made many crucial saves to narrow down the scoreline but unfortunately it was not his evening.
The man-of-the-match was awarded to Lloyd Cardozo of Raia Sporting Club.
